Rejuran: Advanced Skin Rejuvenation

Rejuran, also known as polyneucleotides (PN) therapy, is an innovative skin rejuvenation treatment originating from South Korea. There are different formulations and intended purposes of Rejuran, which are Rejuran Eyes, Rejuran Scars and Rejuran Classic.

Rejuran Eyes (Rejuran i) is a skin rejuvenation treatment which focuses on revitalizing the delicate eye area, reducing fine lines and wrinkles and improving skin elasticity for a more youthful appearance. A course of 3 treatments is recommended with 1ml each treatment,  2-3 weeks apart.  

Rejuran Scars is specifically designed to target and improve the appearance of scars, such as general scars, sunken scars, acne scars and box scars. It aims to promote skin healing, reduce scarring and improve the texture of scarred areas. A course of 3 sessions is recommended with 1ml each treatment,  2 to 3 weeks apart. 

Rejuran Classic is designed for overall skin rejuvenation which targets fine lines and wrinkles, and promotes cellular repair and collagen production to achieve youthful, natural and healthy skin. It can be used to treat full face, neck, decolletage and hands. A course of 3 sessions is recommended with 2mls each treatment, 2 to 4 weeks apart.

  • Rejuran involves injecting small amounts of a gel-like solution containing "polynucleotides", which are DNA fragments extracted from wild salmon, directly into the dermis layer of the skin to stimulate collagen production, improve skin elasticity, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, essentially rejuvenating the skin by triggering its natural repair mechanisms;this treatment is considered a skin booster and is often used to address concerns like aging, uneven texture, and scarring. 

  • You can see results from Rejuran skin treatments as early as two weeks after the first session. However, it can take 3–6 months to see maximum collagen remodeling. 

  • Avoid anti-inflammatory and blood-thinning medications for at least 2 weeks prior to your treatment if possible. Medications and supplements like aspirin, vitamin E, green tea, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, St. John’s Wort, Omega 3/Fish Oil, Ibuprofen, and NSAIDs can thin the blood, increasing the risk of bruising and swelling following anti-aging injections.

    For the first 24 hours after your treatment, refrain from rubbing or massaging the injected area. It's also essential to avoid direct pressure on the area, such as sleeping on your face, face-down massages, extreme temperature changes, intense exercise, prolonged sun exposure, or excessive alcohol consumption during this time.

    After a Rejuran treatment, you should avoid touching the treated area, avoid strenuous activity, and protect your skin from the sun. 

    Avoid touching

    • Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated area for the first 24 hours 

    • Avoid putting pressure on the treated area for 48 hours 

    Avoid strenuous activity

    • Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, hot baths, or steam rooms for at least 24-48 hours 

    • Avoid activities that generate heat 

    Protect from sun

    • Avoid direct sun exposure and apply a high-SPF sunscreen daily 

    • Avoid tanning beds for at least a week post-treatment 

    Avoid certain products

    • Avoid active skincare ingredients like retinoids and AHAs for at least 3-5 days post-treatment 

    • Avoid oil-based makeup for 24 hours 

    • Avoid blood thinning medication such as Aspirin & Ibuprofen for 7 days (unless medically necessary) 

    Stay hydrated 

    • Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated and aid in the healing process
